Andrea is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2011. She began working in the field as a research assistant at the University of Florida, where she collected data, implemented research protocols, and aided in assessments for children with special needs and behavior problems.
Andrea has extensive experience working with children on the autism spectrum and related disabilities. Additionally, Andrea has experience training parents and staff on behavior analytic programs appropriate to each individual’s environment. Her background also includes working with individuals with high rates of problem behavior including self-injury, aggression, and property destruction. In addition, teaching life skills forms a large part of Andrea’s interests, reaching independence beyond the classroom and home setting.
Andrea has a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from the University of Florida. She has a Master’s Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida State University. She co-founded Lifespan behavior services in 2016 in order to increase the availability of evidence-based services for children and young adults with developmental disabilities in Marion County and the surrounding areas.
